Yeah, that pretty much sounds like us. Unfortunately it gets hard to distinguish when we're sticking around and toughing it out because we really want to or because we don't want to let other people down (often it's both). I didn't tend to think of my self as a sacrificial type until I realized that I was getting to bed around two o'clock every night (waking up at 6) not because I had a lot of work to do or because I couldn't sleep, but because I was constantly on the phone with people playing therapist. Rightfully so, I got a reputation as "the fixer" but it came at a major price, and I admittedly became the type of 6 that I never wanted to be-the type that was resentful about everyone's so-called expectations of me.

I've finally realized, as I'm sure most of my fellow 6 pals have, that it's very easy to make other people happy and also very easy to be "made" happy by other people. The challenge comes when we have to make ourselves happy in the absence of others. This has proven to be one of the hardest things we've had to do, but we must or else we'll all go nuts (y'know, get angry, regress to 8's pushiness and agression, the whole deal). It's okay to put your own needs first every once in a while.
