In Reply to: I MADE A PROMISE TO EMILY THAT IF SHE WOULD APOLOGIZE OR AT LEAST ADMIT THAT SHE FAVORED POPULAR POSTERS HERE LIKE CORY .......THAT I WOULD LEAVE FOREVER AND NOT COME BACK EVEN WITH A NEW NAME. MY CONDITIONS WERE LAID OUT IN ANOTHER POST AND OF COURSE THE LITTLE BITCH IGNORED IT. NOW IF YOU PEOPLE REALLY WANT ME TO GO AWAY AND YOU ARE NOT FULL OF CRAP THEN WHY NOT TAKE A STANCE AND ADVOCATE THAT YOUR DARLING LITTLE EMILY ADMIT TO PLAYING FAVORITES AS A MODERATOR. BUT YOU PEOPLE WONT DO THAT BECAUSE YOU LIKE ME HERE. ITS OBVIOUS THAT YOU PEOPLE ENJOY MY VENTING AND WISH YOU TOO COULD GET OUT YOUR OWN BOARD RAGE. YOU SIT BACK AND GO BRAVO BRAVO KNOWING FULL WELL THAT YOUR IGNORING ME REALLY BURNS ME UP AND THAT I GET WORSE AND WORSE UNTIL SOMEBODY DECENT COMES ALONG AND TALKS TO ME LIKE A HUMAN BEING WITH CARE AND CONCERN. BUT YOU SELF CENTERED BASTARDS ONLY WANT SOMEBODY TO CARE ABOUT YOU BUT YOU CANT GIVE NONE TO KB BECAUSE YOU LOVE THE BOARDRAGE TOO MUCH. posted by K.B. (126.96.36.199) on May 26, 2002 at 12:24:39:
: : Thanks Margaret and Ex for your kind words. I guess I felt that the Care Board being inundated was the last straw for me. I think that its OK for one board to be a free for all (like the Chat board) but for others and especially the Care board, aggressive posts should be moderated against. As for moderation, Diarmuid, I might consider it if I wasn't working but I'm not sure I would like reading all of the off posts that come through. I don't want to have a daily dose of negative thoughts. I also think it might work better if the moderator was anonymous and the moderator did not participate in the postings. By doing both, other posters make judgements about you on the flimsiest of information and then it tends to become personal when it shouldn't.
: : If a moderator rules against your post and you think its unjust, then one should just ask by email what the problem is and repost it fixing up the original issue. I don't understand why posters get so hurt when their post is deleted or not acknowledged. Just post another one after you have sorted out why the other wasn't acceptable. In 100 years time, will it really matter that some precious pearls of wisdom were deleted. Is it all a game or are some people's egos really that fragile that this is so important (the deletion and the non acknowledgement that is). I personally suspect the former. And in playing this game, the noise drowns out good interchanges which is what I visit this board for. I will hover around for a while to see if the situation improves but for the time being, I'll take a rest. Sharlee
