Good thing I left early, and gave plenty of time to get lost, as it ended up being a 4 hour drive down there. Got there at 6 and waited in front of the Garden Pier on the boardwalk until 8:15 just like I said and felt good that I stayed true to my word and did what I said I would.
I left when it started getting darker and colder. I used the ladies room in the Showboat, then walked in the Trump TajMajal and saw a bunch of slot machines. I didn't see any dealers and card talbes like the movies. Only slot machines. Then again, maybe they have card tables somewhere else, I just didn't know where.
Then a 3 hour drive home, almost 20.00 in tolls for the day. I did not realize how long a drive it was (originally estimated only 2 hours), nor realized how expensive GS and NJT was. But that's okay, at least it was a nice day, and a pretty drive down there. Lots of green leafy trees, and surprisingly, lots of pine trees too. It was really pretty. I like the pine trees. It comforted me.
All in all, although a long drive, I was pleased I stayed true to my word, and did what I said I would, regardless of the outcome. I had successfully conquered my fear fo the unknown, had conquered my avoidance. It's okay, the outcome, as I know, I first needed to prove I could and would do as I said I would first, before I could expect to see any sign of interest made from the other side.
Brian, you are very nice person and supportive. Thank you for your friendship.
