All types are vulnerable to boundary distortions. The "relationship"
triad does it in its own fashion; that is, through relationships.
In the handshake of relations, vulnerable participants can feel deceived
after learning that the "depth of emotion" was not unique to them.
Do not beat up the 4s for promiscurity. All types may do it. Fours
do it in a personal and deeply emotional way. The connection to two
is the "seduction" of emotionally needy partners who have a corresponding
drama to play out. People tend to connect at similar levels of health;
that is part of the attraction: need satisfaction. Healthy people of
all types are less vulnerable to boundary distortion. Borderline peronality
disorder describes extremes similar to unhealthy 4 at unhealthy 2. That
is not meant to imply that 4s have borderline personalities. It is reasonable to ask oneself, "Why do I find such an individual attractive?"
