years ago one of my insensitive friends responded to a similar inquiry with
a hand gun. "Here, make up your mind!" I do not recommend that approach,
then or now. If you are having suicidal ideation/thoughts, you need some
assistance in getting beyond the "sticking point." Several groups are in
a position to help sort out the issues underlying your crisis. "The Samaritans" are a well known group with an 800 number. Take a risk, call
someone who cares and can understand in a non-judgemental, non-religious
way. Call information (800-555-1212?) and ask for "The Samaritans." No cost, no obligation. They may have a web-site. What have you got to lose:
life itself? Make the call; help yourself move forward to a better place.
You are worth the effort.
