Haha, I'm not into photorealism anyway :) Too much technique.
I have been thinking about something recently:
1. Real subject matter + abstract execution = Interesting
2. Abstract/surreal subject matter + realistic execution = Interesting

1. Monet, Picasso, Bacon
2. Dali, Geiger


Of course there artists that dont fit like Pollack or Mondrian?
This is not a total equation for great art, just a sound principle
to work form IMO. There really are no rules, though sometimes
it helps to set limitations.
