In Shakespeare's Two Noble Kinsmen we find another example of the pompous orator; the schoolmaster Gerrold. He delights in showing of his intellectual accomplishments, his learning. He's unaware that he's a figure of fun. Because of his garrulous pompousness and use of pretentious words to impress his countrymen; the jailers daughter calls him a fool.
