Can a person who commits crimes and savage acts of barbarism still have a superego, and even moreso be a 1 type? What I understand of Freud, the superego is imposed on the child by the values he internalizes from his parents and early environment. Lets say a child grows up in a criminal organization where power and brutality are its main values, it is possible he internalizes that behavior as right and wrong, even though it is in opposition to societys general understanding of morals, which he has no common link to in early development. By no means am I excusing this awful, dispicable behavior, but I think it is still possible for a brutal dictator to be a 1.
