Hello Jan:
I have been giving the correaltion to Ennea type alot of thought. On Riso's board there is a lady 3W4/ENFP, who has just said that, I being a 3W4/ISTJ means that we both don't have much in common! Yet even with somewhat different styles, she sounds like Mercurial-Inventive-?, as opposed to Serious-Inventive-Sensitive, we sufer from the same problem; the inability to feel loved! ( I feel that others are humoring me,because I am so useful.... ) The enneagram seems to decribe attitudes toward life, and also seems to be semi-independent of the actual styles that make it up.... ( That is, different styles have some aspects which can lead to much the same mental attitude....

As for Wagner, I'm sorry that I let my impatience get the best of me. But he seems prone to make all inclusive generalizations.... Your comments on E 9 & the Solitray Style is a perfect example. Many observers have noted that there are hyper-active Type-A 9s, in real life! That doesn't stop E 9s from being disengaged, or complacent.... Some E 4s have the Mercurail Style, not the Dramatic, but all must be Mercurial ? Well ,its my personal belief that parallel processes get you to the same place, by different routes! Rich
