Oldham and Millon describe motivations/fears as well. As you have seen, I tend to focus on identifying the main style. Because even when there are 3 style dominant; only one can be paramount. When letting clients discover their life line by using biography-excercise (workbook); the paramount style pops up from the background. I tend to compare it to looking at those 3D pictures by getting your eyes unfocussed. From a confusing mix of shapes suddenly you can see the pattern appear.
I am a part time teacher at a career councellors college; they use the biography technique together with other techniques like visualisation. For people who really want to discover themselves these things are really good, and have more impact on people than doing tests and talks.
