Company bosses usually like to play golf because it gives them an opportunity to discuss business while enjoying a leisurely, yet competitive activity. If there are bigwigs visiting from out of town, it is a disservice to shelter them in a boardroom. Instead, the rapport businessmen are looking for is to be created with more success on the links. Many business deals do in fact occur on the golf course, so it is no wonder that any young, ambitious businessman will learn to play. One day a superior may ask him to join them on the course for a round of golf. I hope this helps you get a peek into business mentality.
