My ex, with whom I spent 7 years in my 20s, was an aspiring actor (he did get into a few local TV commercials). We moved from Phila to Manhattan in 1989. He was either an extraverted 4 or a 7; I'm a 4. (And my dream was to become a famous writer) . . .
I give all that background info to let you know that I have been there, where you feel all low and lost and like a loser. At least you are smart enough to realize that a lot of it isn't you, it's your being in a highly critical and competitive environment.
If you are having bad anxiety attacks with physical symptoms, that's a different story.
I don't know much about you so I can't add too much more, but don't compare yourself to others, compare yourself to yourself and see that you are living up to your own best expectations for yourself. It's not your fault that there is only one job opening per 10,000 talented acters!
