Minbari,

This is a really good point of view. I have gone of medications - it was my own decision to stop, and i just stopped. No particularly traumatic consequences for me. But im my case I chose to try meds after fighting it for a long time. Nobody told me I needed them, no psycho-pharm gave me a devastating diagnosis. It was more of an experiment. I took them for about one year. So I would have told her - just go ahead and stop - its not big deal, i did it and i'm fine - but after reading your post I realized that would have trivialized Kathy's concerns. But I echo your idea that you are more than just a diagnosis or a 'broken brain'.

R
