yes, they are hard to tell apart. I had a boyfriend who my enneagram friend insisted was a 4w3. This guy was really good at being in the moment, doing things just for the sake of experiencing them, not having expectations. He was also very charming & social.
I don't know much about what goes on inside a 7's head. But when you read the description - don't look at the behavior, but look at the motivations. Which one feels right to you? (for example, there are things that I do that are very 9-ey, and very 4w3, but I FEEL 4w5. That just rings with me.
