I have to figure out how to support myself and my loved ones for a long long time. 40 isn't old. (But it is the start age for "ageism" protection by law.) And if Margaret isn't 40 yet then how is she the granny of her office?
***Seriously for competative athletics 40 is not old. Careerwise I view 40 and 50 somethings as earning the highest wages in a profession. I myself am 33 and due to some bad choices at times feel the body of 70 year old.
