Tests are valuable, but check out some books and this board as well. Half the time I test as a four, half as a five (the scores for the other types are never anywhere near these). However, books often have less simplistic definitions of the types, which can be very helpful. I also find just hanging out on the boards and imagining myself posting what I read. I can often see myself posting similar messages as other fours, but less often can I see myself posting in the style of fives.
