Margaret, you're not stuck unless you decide to take
the offer to stay where you are. Instead of just accepting
what comes your way, it's going to take being more proactive
about getting what you want. If moving up north or to a lake
is what you want to do, then do it! Nothing is holding you
back but you. It might help if you write down everything that
it will take for you to get from where you are to where you
want to be. Then break it down into smaller steps, and it
becomes more realistic. I know that for me personally, I've
taken high risks, and I've just up and moved when others
couldn't for the life of them figure out why I didn't want to
just sit and be content where I was. Who cares what "they"
think? Really, it's not "them" that hold us down. It's us.
Stop playing the role of the victim, and take control of your
life. Nothing ventured, nothing gained. Do what you can do,
and leave the rest in God's hands. Don't focus on the things
that you don't have control over, or can't do at this time.
Just do what you can for today. Take one step forward. Get
the momentum going Margaret. You can achieve your dreams if
you want to.
The way I look at it personally... even if I never achieve all
of my dreams in this life, I'm going to go to my grave trying.
I don't want to look back on my life at the end of the line
and kick myself for never going for it.
