My dad, whom I believe never cheated on my mom, was absolutely wonderful, but still looked at other women and commented! On which side did I err? Making men seem they care MORE about looks than the entire package, or vice versa?
Being fair to the majority still constitutes stereotyping. Don't dump that on men. ALL people see a person's physical form, it's just that some have desirous feelings, some are overly "picky" and some take advantage. This is bitterness!
My father never commented on another woman's looks, and has never cheated on my mother. I am sure of this. All my childhood I was paranoid that either parent would have an affair. My fears were never even remotely agitated. Don't call me naive. I believe in love, and I hope. Please, please, stop hurting.
