> Well, I'm feeling a little less frustrated since my last post. Thanks for letting me blow off some steam. I was just wondering what kind of humor 4s typically enjoy. Or what things they find humorous. I'm a very sarcastic person and the things I find funny tend to be ironic, look how pointless it all is, kind of shtuff. (Although who doesn't enjoy a good ol' fall on the keester ala america's funniest home videos?) But I digress.... For example, I think Fargo, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, and Trainspotting are three of the funniest movies ever. However, many people think I am a crazy sick bastard for thinking this (maybe they have a point, methinks). LOL. Anyway, is this the kind of thing you find funny, or do ya stick with the all-american baseball to the groin? Boy, I'm feeling literary tonight...:)
= Good topic for a Friday..... I don't k know but I I find MST3K funnier than most people. I guess I am intrigued in a humorous way by really bad movies. Coming up with funny and silly, sarcastic remarks about them seems appropriate. There's one called "Hellcats" which was made circa 1960s something--- supposed to be about a roughneck biker gang but looks more like an evil bizarro elvis picture gone horribly, irretrievably wrong........My favorite line delivered by Servo(making fun of a guy dancing) during a goonie, druken party scene... "Roses are Blue, violets are red, I like to shoot heroin straight into my head." Indeed, the entire cast , producers and directors may very well have been on a bad trip while filming.
Another one is "Manos - The Hands of Fate" which was produced by a fertilizer salesman in Texas during the 60s. He had no budget and it shows. It's so bad that it is a cult movie, considered the worst movie ever made....which consists of extended driving scenes, Torgo, a weird big kneed(obviously stuffed) goatlike dude(who has his very own gratingly bothersome theme song) and a supposedly devil worshipper bad guy with a bunch of wives...who is supposed to be menacing an unsuspecting family..
Both of these movies are so bad they have to be seen to be believed.
You kind of have to pick and choose with MST but I couldn't breathe for laughing so hard through these two movies.
Here's a link with the Torgo theme.....
Also, I like Steve Martin....Bowfinger, Homage to Steve
Saturday Night Live - Will Farrell, Christopher Walken Episodes- Has anybody seen the Blue Oyster Cult Skit.... Where Walken Plays a the producer and says ...." I gotta have more cow bell.." and Will goes crazy banging a cow bell through "Don't Fear the Reaper"...during that one he cracks the other SNL players up...especially Jimmy Fallon.
I couldn't breathe through that either.....
