I think it might also help to remember how it feels to be brave and overcome things that threaten you. What you're saying rings very true with me - I am ridiculously self-concious and it gets in the way of so much. It helps me to knuckle down. Sometime when you get caught up in things, especially things you enjoy, you forget your fears, your problems, yourself.
