thanks for the response Flower Pagan! That was quite considerate of you. :) I did take the test & the results were quite different from what I expected. Here is what it says...
You are most likely a type 1 or 3.
Taking wings into account, you seem to be a 3w4.
It is not clear from these test results which Enneagram type you are.
To determine your true type, you might want to start by considering the types with the highest scores on the lists below. Also, there are many fine books and other websites that contain detailed descriptions of the types. Consulting these might give you the information you need to determine your true type. As knowing your Enneagram type involves self-knowledge, you might want to observe and analyze your behavior and motivations. You might also benefit from taking the test again later./
Type 1: 9.3
Type 3: 9.3
Type 4: 7.3
Type 8: 7
Type 6: 6.3
Type 7: 5.3
Type 5: 5.3
Type 9: 5
Type 2: 4
Wing 3w4: 13
Wing 4w3: 12
Wing 1w9: 11.8
Wing 3w2: 11.3
Wing 1w2: 11.3
Wing 4w5: 10
Wing 9w1: 9.7
Wing 8w7: 9.7
Wing 8w9: 9.5
Wing 6w7: 9
Wing 6w5: 9
Wing 5w4: 9
Wing 7w8: 8.8
Wing 2w1: 8.7
Wing 2w3: 8.7
Wing 9w8: 8.5
Wing 7w6: 8.5
Wing 5w6: 8.5
I took Emode's again as well, but scored a 5 on that, which seemed to fit..but I think type 5 might be a bit too detached for my personality, so 3 might be more accurate. I'm not really sure, I haven't looked at type 3 or 1 much. But I also took the Myers-Briggs test & scored INTJ if that helps.
I don't completely understand the star grouping you did, but from it I would say I'm aggressive, attachment? (what does this mean?), thinking, and I think I'm both optimistic & competent (although who would honestly group themselves as incompetent?)
Oh & regarding Emode, I'm not sure which test it is, but this is what the results said..
you're a Type 5 - The Experimenter
Friends, family, and colleagues probably appreciate your probing intelligence and open-minded approach to life. They're also apt to know that when they come to you with a problem, you can be counted on to give them a carefully considered answer based on keen observations. As an Experimenter, you're likely to be seen as a capable and competent individual with a visionary outlook.
Being a member of this type puts you in good company. Renowned painter Georgia O'Keefe, with her reclusive nature and intense focus on her craft, and Albert Einstein, with his groundbreaking theorems and unprecedented view of the space-time continuum, were also Type 5s.
This means that compared to the eight other Enneagram types, you have a strong sense of perception as well as a curious and innovative mind. In fact, like many Experimenters, you have a strong drive to understand how things work.
That may be helpful for other 5's as well. But taking these tests I feel sorta weird, like you can't really group your personality, it's too diverse. You might know generally, where you 'fit' but after taking so many it seems sorta artificial. Like you're just trying to get more & more specific, figuring out what wing you are, etc..but by accepting one you're really ignoring so many other dominant aspects of your personality as well. So, I don't know if these are really that accurate. It seems like every time I take it I just keep getting different results. bleh :P
Anyways thanks for your input, I'd be interesting in seeing what the other test is like, I might take it if I think it's worthwhile.
Take care & thanks to others that responded as well,
