Yes, I agree that motion is important in the enneagram. Not only is no one a pure type, but also no one is in a static mental mode all the time. We move up and down the lines of integration and disintegration each day as our stress levels increase and decrease, and over longer periods of time we become more or less healthy by moving our center of gravity either in our direction of integration or disintegration. And, of course, this applies to our wing(s) as well. But I also think that as we get healthier, the picture gets harder to follow, because we begin to integrate the positive qualities of other types, and strengths that we previously hidden in us or feelings that were previously neglected begin to find their ways of working themselves out and becoming expressed.
