I am not disagreeing with Plato's chariot analogy. I am disagreeing that it follows from that analogy that reason is more important than the emotions. Further, you state that the two are mutually dependent, which is something I agree with. This seems very close, though it may not necessarily follow, to saying that the two are equally important.
To Dr. Phil, I just finished reading your book Self Matters, and I thought it was very good. I had already done a lot of self searching, but had not thought so in depth about my internal dialogue, and found it helpful. Am I right that you are a type 9w8 on the enneagram?
